What is it?
A grading machine for roses
What does it do? How does it work?
The TRS is an all round machine that grades all varieties roses. It handles both small-blossomed and large-blossomed types. It sorts the machine on length, thickness and quality. It can handle up to 9,500 roses per hour. The roses are cut and then hung in a mobile train system. The system reads the entire rose and sends it to the central computer. This measures the length and thickness of the stem and allocates the rose to a bunching station. The bunching station gathers roses of the same quality till it has a full bouquet. The bunch is tied and the stems are trimmed to the programmed size, after which a robot arm picks the bunch up and gently places it on a collection table.
How can it help you?
The Aweta TRS enables the grower to have one point of personal contact with the rose; at point of cutting. From here on, the rose is being carefully guided through the system. Special care and attention is paid to the fragile stem, bud and leaves. Damages are avoided at all cost. This guarantees an absolute perfect rose to make it to the customer.
