SERVICE MECHANIC

The Service department (field organization) is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of the grading and packaging installations. Aweta machinery is sold worldwide, which means that the Service mechanic will be working abroad regularly.

Job specifications:

• The installation of new and/or used grading machines at customers' premises (both in the Netherlands and abroad).
• The resolution, in the field, of any technical problems that may arise during installation.
• Carrying out maintenance on grading equipment in the field.
• Fixing and/or solving malfunctions with grading machines.
• Providing support with the installation of larger, more complex grading machines (in the Netherlands and abroad).
• Participation in the provision of breakdown services outside business hours and on weekends.
• Providing support to the internal helpdesk on an incidental basis.

The profile:

• Completion of Secondary Vocational Education (MTS electrical/mechanical engineering or similar).
• Knowledge of computer hardware and network systems.
• Knowledge of PLC controls (a prerequisite)
• Language skills (Dutch, English and/or French, Spanish).
• Experience in field/service work.
• Independent, enterprising and focused on solving problems.
• A customer/service oriented attitude.
• An affinity for mechanical engineering and/or the agricultural sector.
• Prepared to travel abroad frequently.
